Austenitic stainless steel with 8% nickel and 18% chromium makes up 304 stainless steel pipe, a metallic pipe. The nominal bore size of stainless steel 304 seamless pipes spans from ½ to 16 inches, that of ERW pipes from ½ to 24 inches, and that of EFW pipes from 6 to 100 inches. All pipes are between 1/8 and 30 inches in length. A thin piece of sheet or strip is used to weld the stainless steel 304 welded pipe. Round, square, rectangular, and hydraulic pipes are among the different shapes of seamless, welded, or LSAW pipes.

Because of its robustness and high operating temperature of 870 degrees Celsius, ASTM A312 TP304 Pipe is utilized for high-pressure and high-temperature applications. The SS UNS S30400 ERW Pipe has a minimum tensile strength of 515 MPa and a minimum yield strength of 205 MPa.
